After falling madly in love with the c2c-technique and after finishing my first graphgan I was really waiting for the opportunity to make another, similar blanket. I already finished a fox graph using stitchfiddle, which is a great tool for designing graphgans.
New baby – new blanket
While I was getting closer and closer to delivering my baby I found out that my sister was pregnant, too. Yay, another baby blanket! I decided to keep the racoon for my own little one and do the fox for my sisters baby. I even decided to get really nice wool – Lima bei Drops seemed a really good choice. These were my reasons to choose Lima:
- pretty colours
- same weight as the no name brand I used on the racoon graphgan
- nice price
I ordered the wool and happily started crocheting, only to find out, that somehow the weight and everything turned out quite differently. The size was more like a pillow case. Nothing you could put a normal size baby on and expect to stay there without rolling off. Damn it! Frogging never is an option, of course. So what next?
I decided to go for a patchwork blanket and add more animals. I already had the racoon, so maybe two more animals would be enough.
Right now the fox is half finished. I am really excited how nicely the colours look together.
PS: Look at my great bobbin station! Did it all by myself. Really.
